Greetings to all! OK, I am going to gingerly tread into the dreaded "Mellotron Samples" arena some more. The Tron is one of my favorite instruments, but I will probably never own a real one (I guess, never say never ...). I write/record my original music at home. I utilize both hardware and software. For Tron, I have: - "Classic Keys" expansion ROM for my beloved Kurzweil PC2R (I think the samples are very good); - Emu VK-6 with "Vintage" ROM (sounds OK); - IK Multimedia "MelloZone" Sample Tank (just recently purchased brand- new for about $15.00 US, haven't used it much); - 2 or 3 free Tron software downloads (none of which I particularly like). Folks here seem to like the Pinder CDs. I have seen that Hollow Sun and Sonic Implants have Tron CDs. No one here (that I have noticed) has mentioned GForce's M-Tron - it is good? It certainly seems to offer a big bang for the buck!!! Anyway, I'm just wondering what real Tron owners who have had experience with any of the several "copycats" have to say. Thanks much! Tom (listening to Genesis "Seven Stones" ...)
