Re: [Mellotronists] Amazing Yes!

2002-08-01 by William Gagliani

Coming out of lurk mode to echo this!

I saw Yes in Chicago last week, and they were superb. Even got a good
review at the Chicago Tribune's website!

Unfortunately, Awaken was nearly ruined for me by a foursome who stood
below me in the aisle (we were in a box) and kept up a constant stream of
drunken, inane chatter. Until I blew up and screamed at them repeatedly to
shut up or I'd kill them (or so I'm told ... I was nearly psychotic by
then), that all I wanted was for them to shut up. All this in the center of
the piece, during Rick's wonderful organ part. I was trembling with rage
throughout the rest of the show, sad to say.

Why do people go to shows to chatter like idiots?

Anyway, great show, even if (as usual) the audience needs lessons in etiquette.

I don't usually spout here, but I was compelled...

Bill
