No.  Harry was up in arms about them having the sound.  We have  the 600 
tapes on the reel that Bill brought over.  The MKII violins  were copied one note 
at a time from the reel to reel set.  Painstaking but  neverthless this is how 
it was done.  You can hear the degredation from  Harry's recordings to the 
MKII violins.  The resulting MKII master would  have been, at a guess, two 
generations down giving the violins that unique  character.
