Thought I'd ask what their keyboard player does for Mellotron sounds -
anybody know? His setup was Kurzweil K2000, Hammond XB-1, Korg X3 and Roland
JV-1080 but there were passable (in fact, pretty damn passable)
Flute/3Vln/8Choir sounds in all the right places). Could be samples loaded
into the K2000? (I do the same with an Akai S2000 'cos I'm afraid to take
M400 out of his cosy corner :o)


Couldn't say for sure, but I suspect he uses the sounds from the JV-1080
'vintage synth' expansion board, possibly enhanced by the Kurzweil (does it
sample? I always assumed their stuff was all sample-playback). Doubt if it's
the Korg, anyway.  :-)
