There's a 5 page review of the new TS 250 (Marcasite name has been dropped)
with lots of pics on Pistonhead.

Dear Don,

Well, until I actually find and acquire my own Marcos GT you can always count on me as being available to purchase your lovely blue if and when you decide to purchase the TS 250!

Finally, I'm curious as to the workings of Stromberg and Weber carburetors used in Marcos GT's (as well as other British Sports Cars). I'm probably showing my ignorance here but I have observed that most cars use some form of an air filter with their carburetors whereas the cars that utilize Strombergs and Webers never seem to have what I term as an "air filter."

Could you possibly elaborate and/or explain this for me?

With Best Regards,

Svelte

Yea, if I could only get one into the US !

As far as "air filters", some aftermarket installations don't leave
much room for filters so they are left off (not a good idea for
street driving) or very small ones are used. They are not the
contraptions that have been on cars since the 70s' that have tubes,
sensors, etc. sticking out of them. There's a pic of my engine in
the "photos" section. I use a small K&N filter.

Hi guys,

I also use small K&N filters, which have about a 3" diameter, on my triple
side draft solex carbs. I originally had just the trumpets but was warned
that dust would eventually cause cylinder wear. I put the filters on after
rebuilding my engine with oversized pistons. I had some short aluminum tubes
made to replace the trumpets. There a picture of the setup with my car
profile.
