RE: [MarcosManiacs] Re: TS 250 Review

Hi guys,

I also use small K&N filters, which have about a 3" diameter, on my triple
side draft solex carbs. I originally had just the trumpets but was warned
that dust would eventually cause cylinder wear. I put the filters on after
rebuilding my engine with oversized pistons. I had some short aluminum tubes
made to replace the trumpets. There a picture of the setup with my car
profile.

Yea, if I could only get one into the US !

As far as "air filters", some aftermarket installations don't leave
much room for filters so they are left off (not a good idea for
street driving) or very small ones are used. They are not the
contraptions that have been on cars since the 70s' that have tubes,
sensors, etc. sticking out of them. There's a pic of my engine in
the "photos" section. I use a small K&N filter.
