Check the colour of the fluid. If it is black, it means that the rubber seals in the system are deteriorating due to a reaction with the existing brake fluid.

The 59D4 is a Lucas Distributor. It accepts LU243 Pertronix Ignitor. We sell Ignitors and stock that part. We have always had good fortune with the product.
