Hi Don, A similar thing happened to me years ago. I parked at the front of a line of cars close to an intersection and there was no space in front of me for anyone else to park legally. Someone obviously thought otherwise because when I returned to my car there was a 5 or 6 inch scrape up the centre of the bonnet deep into the fibreglass, probably caused by one of those older chrome bumpers. The guy took off and I was left to repair it myself. The problem was, I didn't have enough paint to redo the whole bonnet so the repaired area is still noticeable up close. You were fortunate to have the other guy's insurance pick up the tab. Some dishonourable guys might even have claimed that you drove into them. At a stop sign, the SUV in front of me (first in line) for some reason decided to back up. Trailer hitch ball just did wonders to the front............. Good news: Driver had license and insurance. No frame damage. Get whole bonnet fixed and repainted on his dime. Bad news: Off the road for repairs. Ruined vacation........... Observations: SUV drivers cannot hear air horns! Nothing more to say. I'll be at Palo Alto but without Marcos :-( Don Lattimer #3m5759 To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: MarcosManiacs-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com Your use of Yahoo!
