I\u2019m afraid cleaning will not fix this one.
When I removed the switch, I found that the back was separated and the contact inside used to jumper the wires was gone.
It may be floating around in the dash somewhere, but even so, the switch will not stay together. I think a new one is definitely in order.

I've had switch problems also, but the switches can be taken apart and cleaned up. This has always worked for me though the years. If you do get part numbers let me know. MOSS Motors, LTD. part number 635-675 looks very close!

Mine doesn\u2019t seem to be working, and the switch has power to it as well as the harness plug, so I suspect it is the motor.
Also, my heater fan switch (the black rocker switch on the dash) is busted. Can anyone tell me what type (MG, Triumph, part#???) of switch is used?
