Mark Thanks for your reply and btw great website you have for info. I asked about the work on the chassis (yes wooden) because I seem to recall having read an article somewhere that advised strongly to turn the car on it's side. It's the footwell area which needs attention so I guess I will raise the car as far as possible and work from beneath. Regarding the Pinto engine, dimensionally I believe it is very similar to the X-Flow BUT the exhaust manifold is on the opposite side and looking at it I can see it might give me a few problems.
