will i just got logic express and tryed to open a garageband file but i cant hear anything. even when i try to make a new file i still dont hear anything. plez help

Try starting with an audio loop. Hit play, and see if the meters move. Adjust your system volume up.

Had the same problem a while ago, got desperate too. Solution, get an understanding of Logic, there are audio, software instruments and midi tracks. Audio tracks play aiff, wav, mp3, audio files. Software instruments play midi files, hey, they do! Midi tracks are ancient stuff that need to be assigned to external units. Double click an empty arrange track, right click on the name of the track and choose stereo output, no sound? There's a book by Robert M. Pirsic, "Zen And The Art Of Motorcycle Maintainance", take a brake and come back later
