Apple Logic Pro /LogicExpress Discussion

Had the same problem a while ago, got desperate too.
Solution, get an understanding of Logic, 
there are audio, software instruments and midi tracks.
Audio tracks play aiff, wav, mp3, audio files.
Software instruments play midi files, hey, they do!
Midi tracks are ancient stuff that need to be assigned to external units.
Double click an empty arrange track,
right click on the name of the track and choose stereo output, no sound?
