Garageband

Garageband

2005-03-02 by Gordon Ross

Yes I know it's totally off-topic but I'm working on a project in a
primary school using Logic Express. The school have been very impressed
by GarageBand but they won't have any macs once the project is over.
Does anyone know of a programme for Win2000 that is similar to GB?

Sorry to be OT,

Gordon

Not too likely since Garageband is Logic Extra Lite - its actually the best value of any music program - being essentially free but having so much power and softsynths. The EXS24 alone was about $300 thats built in to Garageband.

Did you check Cubase's entry programs? Ableton Live is quite different than Logic but it comes iwth a lot of plugs built in and the capability of creating an entire piece. They have educational prices, as does Apple/Logic.
