I have known Darren, the logic teacher, and he started as a logic user producing his own techno music, then got hired by Apple to be the logic teacher there. So he is an enthusiastic logic user first and foremost. He is very open to questions and discussions - a very cool guy. We occasionally discuss non-Apple products too such as plugins and virtual instruments. The logic trainer (another fellow coming to this special engagement) might be trying to stir up some business for himself, but you don't have to buy into that. And of course Orren Merton wants to sell his books I would imagine. But I don't think you need fear any hard core sales presentations. You can always meet some people there, who are more pro and potential collaborators. Did you know there is a Logic users in LA group on Yahoo already? I have not seen much action on it for months but there are others in the LA!
