SX210 REPAIR

SX210 REPAIR

2004-10-01 by nate_is_rocketboy@yahoo.com

I recently bought an sx210 "as is" from a thrift store for very cheap.
Unsurprisingly, it doesn't work. I am not familiar with synth
technology so the best description I'd be able to give is that it
sounds like there is something wrong with the filters, as they are not
manipulating the sound much. I do get some sort of tone but as long
as the synth is tunred off, the tone is playing. It was only eight
bucks and I figured I could get it fixed. Can you guys recommend a
place that would be able to find the problem and repair my sx210?

Chances are if you are getting a tone, It works! You have a
subtractive synth. keep working by setting most parameters to 0 , get
a wave on , maybe a sub and tweek the cut off , to sound as low as it
can go without-- going away-- them move to the other parameters -- but
I work backwards also... good luck and that is a real find.

Open it up and take a look into it... has the battery leaked ? and
burnt out components ?
