closet analog

When i want to just go off the edge, and save society from my madness.
I will pull out the roland OS-09. Limited organ/string . small raw
draw bar organ with fair strings. A sci-fi keeper.

I chose the sc 10 over the roland sh-09 for pure mono.

If i make room-- I would like to test the oberheman or sc poly's., but
with less than 8 poly- I just think it may be a waist of space and
time for me.

Anyone have test with the analog modeling ones???? What do you think?

Howdy Tex,
I have loved since 97' Nordlead, i have a NL2 now and use it every
day. All other virtual's have come and gone including plugins which
just leave me cold and do not have the patience for.

One of my other fave closet analogs is a Korg 700S. If you have ever
heard Daniel Miller's "Warm Leatherette" from 79', this is all 700S.
Cheers

One really good analog modeling synth is the Novation nova one, or supernova.
Its the nearest analog stuff I heard. For my opinion, I find the Nord lead a bit cheesy... I really prefer novation stuff.
The Korg MS2000 is certainly a poor analog modeling synth. I really prefer software. The subtractor synth from Reason software is a beast for reproducing analog sound.

Yamaha CS1x is great but not as warm as analogs

Check out Humand League's "Dare" for an excellent collection of synth
reefs and sounds - an excellent (analog) production as well.
