I just looked up chorus and ensemble in the dictionary. the button is
labled ensemble, but the chorus definition fits.

Tid bit-- I find using the chord memory much more useful than
previously thought. very nice feature.

The debate: the sx 210 is Great, but the sx 240 is Aewesome. I just do
not have a favorite and seem to use the sx 240 more. Really, they are
just different. But then again , I have been able to back up the 240 ,
but not the 210(YET) so I may just feel more free to tweek the 240.

Re: [kawai_sx210] debate

I always like to say the 240 has a rougher sound like a Korg Polysix
(same SSM chips ?????)
and the 210 has a smoother more Roland Jx sound, but fatter and jucier.
I like the 240, and cherish the 210.

Does anyone have any other impressive old analogs in the closet not
many people know about ?
I love my Roland Jupier 4, its like a mini CS80. And I hope to redo my
Chroma over the winter.

With two oscillator you have much more options.

BTW, it is and Ensemble effect, not chorus

To me the sound samples of the 240 present a similiar sound as the
210, but using more features of course.

I find no similiarity between any of them and Roland JX.

Re: [kawai_sx210] Re: debate

They sound completly different IMO.

Two oscillators is not always better than 1 : )
Remember the 210 has sub as well.

The 210 has the best chorus/Ensemble this side of the the Arp Solina
a little noisey though.

I was being general in my comparisons to the 210/JX, not literal.
I dont think the 210 is exactly like anything else really.
the 240 IS like a polysix IMO.

Merry Xmas, may Santa all bring you a new synth

Had them all :)

Juno 60, Alpha Juno 1, Polysix, JX8P, JX10, SX210...

They are all distinctive... although you can find similarities
between the Rolands
