Re: Kawai SX 240 Voltage Conversion

2010-05-20 by PC is out of control

From the service manual it gives 4 variations on AC input voltage but it appears that there is a different transformer model for each configuration. Many manufacturers use a multi tap input allowing use of 100, 120, 220 and 240 VAC as an input voltage. The schematic only shows the same colors on the xformer tap for each voltage setting, so it doesn't look like a multi tap input. Does anyone have any pics of the transformer they could post?

Are you sure the input AC is 220VAC? If it was 240 VAC you could use a 120 to 240 VAC step up xformer.
