Not at all ! It is a very simple operation and I guess that it should be done the same way the mod fpr Polysix goes... But you'll have to consult an electronician. If I remember correctly all needed to be done is to remove a resistor and put a diode instead of it. I personally didn't do that and placed a new NiCAD battery, far away from the PCBs. I intend to replace it every few years. I guess this particular machine is going to be needed to be serviced quite a lot at the near future.
