A-142-2 Quad Decay question about LFO mode

A-142-2 Quad Decay question about LFO mode

2011-10-13 by brian

I received a prototype of this unit and wanted to see if anyone else had one to compare the lfo mode on theirs. When I have the jumper set for lfo mode on my unit there is a gap of time between each cycle. I assumed this would be more lfo like in that the device would re-trigger after each cycle immediately but mine definitely has gaps. This essentially makes in not very use-able as an lfo.

Can anyone confirm how their unit responds?

I have problems to understand what you mean with "gap of time between each
cycle". In the loop mode the unit is triggered by itself but the signal
shape (discharge curve of a capacitor) remains the same. The A-142-4 info
page of our website says "in this mode the unit is triggered by itself like
an LFO". Only the re-triggering is like an LFO. But the waveform is still
the same. The waveform is the same as if you would trigger the unit by an
external LFO.

Best wishes

A stupid question but it needs to be asked - Are you using the mix output? Any of the other outs will only give you that particular EG out.
