Leading Curves In Photoshop Element's 11

Leading Curves In Photoshop Element's 11

2013-02-05 by Robert Fletcher

Hello, I have downloaded Paul's curves unzip the file and moved them
into the elements curves folder. I have looked in my manual and search
the Internet but I cannot get it any explanation of how to load the
curves. Can someone give me the basic navigation route through the menus
where I can select the appropriate curves.

Thanks in advance, Robert

Robert:

I don't use Photoshop Elements, I use CS4, but I think they may be similar. For CS4, the instructions to load a curve are:

"Open your image and convert it for black and white as you see fit, or open an existing black and white file that is ready to print. Change the image mode to RGB. Go to adjustments > curves and apply the preset curve RRAPG_neutral-2.acv. This will make your image very blue. This is normal."

Note that in the curves panel there is a little icon that looks like a sheet of paper (sort of!). You need to click on this icon to open the drop downs where you can find the curve you placed in your folders. I think this misleads a lot of folks.

Good luck.

Hi Homer

Thank you for your suggestions, Photoshop Elements do present a
particular challenge when trying to use curves. I've spent quite a bit
of time and I must say quite a bit of paper using the adjustments in the
Epsom driver. This is the approach I will now take as the results are to
my satisfaction and that is the main thing.

Thank you for taking your time to reply to me.
