I think this chemical is called different names by different companies. > b) Could I use the normal base of; > Glcerol > Foto Flo > Edwal LFN > Water > > I don't recommend it. Butoxytriglycol or triethylene glycol monobutyl ether is a dye carrier and coupling agent. I think a base without this in it would not produce as good or stable results. That one is probably not suitable given the different viscosity used for thermal heads but I assume the R1900 one should be good. OCP pricing and availability in Europe is as good as it gets. I can get gallon size OCP cans if needed. -- Met vriendelijke groet, Ernst Dinkla http://www.pigment-print.com/spectralplots/spectrumviz_1.htm December 2012: 500+ inkjet media paper white spectral plots.

The OCP alternative ink set for the R1900 is actually dye based. Try a sample with the dyes you want to dilute whether the result is stable. The gloss enhancer is available in the UK in carts or bulk. I just started looking for Tergitol 15-S-7 in Australia Sigma Aldrich lists it in 500ml quantities www.sigmaaldrich.com Thay also list 24 hits for CAS # 56-81-5, though Tergitol has a different CAS # They are pretty much worldwide peace out Glenn --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, Ernst Dinkla wrote:

Apologies - I skimmed through the earlier messages and saw tergitol mentioned and a source listed That said sigma aldrich listed quite a few items under the CAS # 56-81-5 I'm not up to speed with the dye dilution base so can't discern between them as to suitability peace out Glenn --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, Paul Roark wrote:
