3800: Severe ink dripping all over print

3800: Severe ink dripping all over print

2012-11-15 by Richard Smallfield

Hi,
Epson 3800 / K3 ink: I'd done all the usual fixes that are mentioned
on the forums (lint-free cloth under the head to remove any dust/cat
hairs, windex on the parking pad etc) and after an auto nozzle check
and perfect proof, the expensive A2 print is covered with ink drips
and black linear drips all over the place.

This is odd, seeing the proof and auto nozzle check were fine.

Any ideas at all?

Many thanks,
Richard

Setting the platen gap to 'wider' seems to have helped. It was on
'wide' before.

Any other input always appreciated, though.
