That's one thing I did (the shutdown and restart) because each time I refill the cartridges I get some air bubbles and this is one trick that I learned, it settle down during the night and the next morning everything is OK. I wrote that because after more than a year, this is the first time I see this behaviour happening.
Since the two offending cartridges are completely dried out, I can't do the cleaning cycle aside from reloading first.
