Hello Paul,

As I promised, following arrival of the Edwal, I loaded the Noritsu
2K3lK (4 inks) into MIS 1400 cartridges and used Epson Claria cartridges
for the yellow and light magenta into my new 1430. After making sure
that the MIS cartridges were fully seated (tricky), I installed the
printer (Windows 7 and wireless network ). No problem. Printed my first
2K2LK on Red River metallic (using your QTR profile). Pretty spectacular!

Sadly, MIS doesn't keep its loyal customers informed about 1400 vs 1430
known difficulties. Since my MIS 1400 cartridges were purchased in
December and the 1430 is a new printer with the latest software and
drivers, I don't know if older MIS 1400 cartridges cause problems alone
or in a mix. Some may still have installation problems with older MIS
cartridges and the 1430. The good news here is that a Claria and MIS
cartridge mix will work and none of your various ink sets should have a
problem with later 1400 MIS cartridges. Was there ever a real problem,
I'm not sure.
