Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hi all,

Has anyone heard what the so called "improved cymbals" are like on the
DTXPress III kits? Are there any samples online?

Jono,

Go to http://namm.harmony-central.com/WNAMM04/Index/videos.html for a 
video of the DTXpress IIISP kit at NAMM. You won't hear all of the 
cymbal sounds, but you'll hear a few in the demo. One thing I've 
learned is not to hazard definitive answers about sounds. It's too 
subjective a topic. I've heard from seemingly neutral industry people 
about how wonderful the new Yamaha Motif sounds are and from some 
hobbyists about how disappointing they are. Get thee to a Guitar 
Center and listen for yourself. For the record, all things 
considered, I like what I've heard.
