Back 2 the dtxpress

has anybosy here used sampling software or an external sampler to
trigger high quality sounds via midi through the dtxpress brain? a
good friend of mine suggested this instead of purchasing a much more
expensive module for more sounds. he insisted that i could trigger
acoustic sounds and that the dtxpress brain is fully capable of this.
don't know anyone who has done this though, anyone here had any
sampling experiences with the dtxpress? (or any other module for that
matter, i do't think it would make such a big difference).

cheers pete

Hey, Pete,

How's the Hart site going? This issue came up before. I haven't tried
it, and I don't remember anyone reporting on it. But in principle
treating the Xpress module as a mere MIDI triggering device, with its
tone generator bypassed--on the order of the TMC-6, Midikiti, and PM-
16--should work.
