Seriously guys, I'm considering building a set for my drum set, and then make
some for sale, possibly donate them to certain individuals who would be in
need of them. I'm thinking of making them as replacement drums for those who
have kits like the inexpensive V-Club or the DTXpress I & II kits, but cannot
afford anything over $1,300. If I were to make them, I would be able to get
the mounting hardware for the drumshell (tom bracket) so that regardless of
what you have, all you would have to do is take the pad off and put the mesh
drum in its place without buying or changing rack hardware. I'll have to
wait until I move into the house I'm renting a room in (end of August).

Drumkit Chart

2003-07-09 by rdamon@mckinney-usa.com

I meant to post a reply the other day about the drumkit chart. I had
generated a spreadsheet in Microsoft Excel last year. One tab is a "Master",
you can copy the tab and create/document multiple drumkit sets in one file.
If you have access to a 11"x17" printer it makes a nice viewable size chart.
If anyone is interested, I'll upload it here or pass on to Vern for the
dtxpression website. It is identical to the one in the manual, but in
spreadsheet format.

Oldguy, are the blocks any bigger on your version? I hate how small
the blocks are in the book!

RE: [DTXpress] Re: Drumkit Chart

2003-07-09 by rdamon@mckinney-usa.com

It is in a spreadsheet format, which means can adjust the column
widths/heights to what ever you like. When printing you can even hide
columns/rows for lines that are not needed like rim settings on single zone
pads, like the TP65, KP65, PCY65, which gives you much more room where you
do need it.

RE: [DTXpress] Mesh pads

2003-07-10 by Spencer Hopkinson

Do you have the design available for your pads?

If it works really well I'd like a copy of the design instructions to make
my own mesh head bass drum and snare.
How much does it cost to make too? Roughly...

Seriously guys, I'm considering building a set for my drum set, and then
make
some for sale, possibly donate them to certain individuals who would be in
need of them. I'm thinking of making them as replacement drums for those
who
have kits like the inexpensive V-Club or the DTXpress I & II kits, but
cannot
afford anything over $1,300.

I'm still in the process of finalizing things. It may be a couple of months
or longer because of money.
