Mic input?

Mic input?

2003-06-13 by Nick Carroll

Has anybody tried feeding a microphone through one of the trigger
input jacks? Is it possible? If so, it might be handy when practising
vocals along with drums.

won't work. The inputs are for trigger signals- not analog audio. You could feed the auxiliary input- where your cd player goes with the signal from a small mixer, i.e., mix the mic and the cd player then feed the input.

Well with a small preamp, you would be able to use the AUX input to have
vocals mixed with your kit. You would have to bring the MIC level up to
LINE level before it would work. Also, (just my preference) I would hate
to have a non-effect MIC input. I can't live without at least a bit of
reverb and/or a slapback echo... ;)
