Yamaha DTXpress/DTXplorer/DTXtreme

Hello, everyone!  Yup, I'm back with another question.  Looking into 
the future, I imagine I'm always going to want to expand into a 
bigger, badder set-up.  Who doesn't want to go bigger?  Anyways, my 
question is:  Is it possible to connect two modules up together?  If 
so, is it fairly easy to accomplish (money aside)?  Could in theory a 
DTXpress2 wich has 5 drum inputs, and 3 cymbal inputs become 10 drum 
inputs and 6 cymbal inputs when a second DTXpress 2 module is hooked 
up to it?  Again, thanks for the help...

Looks like I get the hat trick. Yes, you can have a configuration 
with multiple modules, and you can achieve a relative balance by 
running them all through a mixer. This is the least cost-effective 
way to expand. The most cost-effective way is to use a midi 
interface--like the Roland TMC-6, a discontinued Roland PM-16, or a 
discontinued Kat midiKITI--to add extra inputs. I just posted 
answers to similar questions and provided some detail about these 
units a couple of days ago. Run a search on midiKITI to find them.
