Hi Mike,
Someone with the kit should probably give you definitive answers, or
confirm mine, but I'll comment in the meantime.

Doesn't the special come with only one extra input, since it has
three cymbals? Under normal conditions, your Hart splash would be the
logical choice for the open one (half of input 9/10, I assume) via a
splitter. Apparently, however, you can switch the kick pad from input
1 to input 9/10, allowing you to plug an extra component into the
jack on the kick to access input 10 remotely without having to resort
to a splitter to fill up input 9/10. The module also allows you to
make an internal adjustment to recognize this switch so that you can
still use the factory kits. (Right, gang?) So in your SP kit as
delivered, with one-half of input 9/10 already filled by a PCy-130
cymbal, the advantage of this configuration would be to open up input
1 to handle the type of multi-voicing that your TP65s has, which
input 9/10 cannot do. That strategy, however, would leave the Hart
out in the cold, since you wouldn't have any more spare inputs.

See above. Unless I missed my guess (which is always a possibility),
something that you have now--either the Hart or the TP-65s--gets left
out unless you can find a trigger to MIDI interface or a second
module to provide you with more inputs. This opens a whole other can
of worms. You could also split an input and use it to duplicate
something that you already have. The Hart would get only one voice
regardless of its piggyback; the TP could get three if it shared an
input with a tri-sound trigger.

HELP!!
If you split a programmed input with an appropriate pad/cable, you
should get all of the same voices/trigger settings on both pads. But
you will not be able to split the individual voices of head/edge or
bow/bell/edge into separate pads of their own. The design of the TP
and PCY pads and their switch-type inputs does not permit it (one of
our members is working on a special device to allow so-
called "stereo" inputs to be divided into separate pads, but it's
still in development). Certain types of input (like 9/10) do allow
such splitting between mono components, but these inputs are not
equipped to handle the separate voices on the Yamaha rubber pads that
you have. Search the archives for the difference between
between "stereo" and "dual-zone" in e-drum parlance.
On the DTXpressII module, inputs 2, 6, and 7 were the only ones
capable of all three sounds on a TP-65s or PCY-150 or 130s. If I'm
not mistaken, on the III module, inputs 1-7 qualify, but I'll let
somebody else in the know verify.
