It will be interesting to see what Yamaha has in store for us with
this new unit. I have heard some rumors that it will have the Motif
chip in it which if true should make for an interesting unit with
some neat capabilities.
I have used my setup for live gigs several time since I have owned
them and must say they work out pretty nice in a live situation,
really couldn't ask for much more but I will give the new brain a
hard look when it comes out.

I really appreciate these groups, I remember when I first bought the
DTX I searched and searched the net for information about the unit
and really couldn't find much of anything except for the VDRUMS
site. I remember leaving a message over there and all I got in reply
was allot of sarcasm. I since found these groups which are a
pleasure to read, you find help here not people flaming others for
asking a question that might have been answered 10 months ago.
Any way I love playing the Yamaha drums, my only wish is that they
would promote them allot more then they do and maybe have a web site
like they have for the Motif line, that would really be nice.
