Just kicking some ideas around in my pea sized > brain. ;-) Hi Matt I worked out the format by "discovery" - a term that may be equated to reverse engineering but with a slightly different legal slant ;-) To understand the format you need an understanding of what is going to be in the file ie How many pads, layers, notes etc. If I had a description of a standard kit and a copy of the SYX file I could probably make a stab at breaking it down for you. I would be very happy if you used DTXport as a framework for the DTXtreme. Ideally the one app should work for all DTX modules. R
