Alternate Mode's a really good company, but they're small, and so, in the scheme of things, is the edrum buying public. I would think that AM would have to be pretty sure of the market before they put anything into production. And what features would they include, and how cheaply could they manufacture, and advertise, it? Thankfully, Roland is so overpriced that AM might be able to price a new KITI to be competitive with the TMC-6, but Roland also has the distinct advantage of being able to absorb any losses from any one product that fails to pay for itself. I think that I mentioned that AM were considering a re-make last year. Maybe they're looking at how the TMC-6 is selling and tracking sales of used midiKITIs on ebay and other venues. It's funny, I remember reading NAMM 2002 reports about Roland's introduction of the TMC-6, and many of them seemed to also make mention of the gap left by the late lamented midiKITI. One last thing: I keep forgetting to say midiKITI Pro. That model is the most likely one to show up, but it's worth making sure. It has the updated features. --- In DTXpress@yahoogroups.com, deb maniace <jadiebooshkie@y...> wrote: > I BET Rez drums doesn't have a KAT...you are probably > right, they are looking to find one.
