I think I may be dealing with a vibration issue here.  If i hit the 
pad surface of the ride cymbal hard enough, I'll get the crash sound 
programmed for the edge, so I guess I'll hit it softer from now on.  
But that doesnt explain why last night the edge of the pad was 
giving me that wierd muted cmybal sound, however, as of today it no 
longer does that.  I dont know...
