The DM5 is good for what it is, but one thing you won't get with it is a fully variable hi hat (the full range from closed to open), which you would definitely want with Visu-lite's assembly. The DM Pro gives you the variable hat, but I don't think you'll get the Yamaha's stereo or trio inputs or certain programmable parameters. You may not get the auxiliary input for your CD player either. You should research both Alesis modules carefully before jumping. The Roland TMC-6, whether new or used, is probably a better buy for you, both in terms of price and features. Unless you're in an enormous hurry, I wouldn't give up on the midiKiti Pro or PM-16 yet either. I take back what I said about the discontinued Roland being a safer bet than the Kat. Alternate Mode, the small company that now handles Kat products, has great technical support. You could also ask them if they have a kiti in the shop or know where you might get one. They recently put someone who inquired in touch with a seller in Florida. I'll also keep my eyes open and let you know. --- In DTXpress@yahoogroups.com, "jadiebooshkie <jadiebooshkie@y...>" <jadiebooshkie@y...> wrote: > I just sent this seller an email about the MidiKITI...we'll see if > he/she answers.
