Re: [DTXpress] DTX1 Cymbal Replacement - dual zone?

2004-09-08 by temp1111

Email me offlist if you are looking for multi zone cymbals. I have a whole set of brand new E-cymbals from the DTXTREME2S kit that have not even been hit once. I wont give em away, but I'll give you a good deal. I also have a bunch of other Yamaha equipment for sale (I bought a DTXTREME2S last month, but I'm only using about 50% of the kit having integrated it into my acoustic kit)

You can get him a Pintech Zenbal, which is an upgrade to the DTXPress Cymbals, the cymbals are about $159 list, however, you can pick one up on Musicians friend for $111. I own 3 of these cymbals and they work very very well. The cymbals are Zenbal ZB2's. HTH.

My son has a DTXPRESS 1 that has a staticy cymbal, I pretty sure the
sensor is wearing out not a problem with cables or connections. I do
not know if this is fixable but I am willing to order a replacement as
he is pretty serious as a drummer. But as long as I am ordering a
replacement is there an optimal "upgrade" cymbal that will work with
the first generation DTXpress? If there is a simple sensor fix please
let me know I'm not a drummer or musician but comfortable with
electronics.
