Ed,
Hello, in my long list of trial and error, at some
point I thought the volumes were associated with the input channels, but that
failed, since I do actually have them in opposing inputs. (I have the
triggered acoustic snare in input channel 1 which is the default snare channel,
and the TP120SD into input channel 6 which is the default ride channel, however
even plugged into 6, it is controlled by the snare volume slider.
You did give me an idea however... in assigning the
pad mounted control knob as a volume control (i'm pretty sure this is an
option) This way, even if they are both Macro-managed by the snare slider,
I can micro manage from the knob.
With all the 'assignable' options and what not, it
seems there should be a simple way to assign which volume slider a voice or
input channel is associated with. Again, with continued experimentation
this morning, it continues to appear that each "voice" is specifically assigned
to a slider, regardless of the input channel, note assignment, or any other
variable.
If anyone finds this magic setting, let me know,
otherwise tonite I will try working from the pad control knob and see if that
will be a consistant and reliable solution for me.
Thanks!
Vic

either the Toms or Misc Volume Slider, while controlling my acoustic
snare trigger with the Snare Volume Slider.

Vic,
I think that the sliders are associated with particular
inputs/outputs, not voices. The DTXT's manual volume adjustments are
simply a more refined, discrete version of the rotary knobs on the
DTXpress, which do the same thing with less finesse. If I'm right,
what you'd have to do is connect your second snare into a tom or
cymbal input and adjust its volume with the appropriate slider. But
can't you adjust the volume of the rubber pad with its attached
control and keep the acoustic snare at a permanent slider setting?
