either the Toms or Misc Volume Slider, while controlling my acoustic

Vic,

I think that the sliders are associated with particular
inputs/outputs, not voices. The DTXT's manual volume adjustments are
simply a more refined, discrete version of the rotary knobs on the
DTXpress, which do the same thing with less finesse. If I'm right,
what you'd have to do is connect your second snare into a tom or
cymbal input and adjust its volume with the appropriate slider. But
can't you adjust the volume of the rubber pad with its attached
control and keep the acoustic snare at a permanent slider setting?
