Snare dilema - DTX2S

2004-08-14 by temp1111

I am using my DTX2S brain to manage acoustic triggers on my kit, in addition to the electronic pads which that come with the DTX2S, which I have integrated into my kit.
I assigned a voice to my acoustic snare trigger that is fine for most of the songs I play, and I assigned a different voice to the electronic snare pad that is suitable for the rest of the songs.
;
The problem I have is I need to manage the volume of voices independantly, but instead both volumes are controled by the Snare Volume Slider. My ideal scenario is to control the TP120SD under either the Toms or Misc Volume Slider, while controlling my acoustic snare trigger with the Snare Volume Slider.
My first thought, which I thought made sense was to change the Pad Type assigned to the input channel from TP-1/Snr to TP-1/Tom, hoping that would change which volume slider controlled it, but it did not work.
My next idea was to review the Slider Controls section of the manual to see if there was a way to assign a slider to a particular input channel, that didn't work either.
My next idea was to see if there were any obvious settings under the Trigger Menu or Voice Menu that I could assign a volume slider, that didn't pan out either.
My next idea was to review the Utility Option/Features to see if there was a way to change the slider assignment, that didn't work either.
;
Running out of options, I pulled up the voice menu and kept changing the note number while striking the pad and moving sliders, which indicated that the sliders are related directly to either the note or the specific voice. Since notes can have any voice assigned to it, my current theory, is the volume slider is defined within each voice setting somewhere.
Now, the $64,000 question ....how can I edit a single, particular voice to tell it which slider I want to control it :-)
Thanks in advance!
