XG Works v. AN1xEdit v. stand alone editors

Okay, a couple of questions I need clarification on: 1) XG Works is not freeware from Yamaha but must be purchased eiher A) direct from Yamaha or B) bundled with a Yamaha soundcard or other MIDI/Audio hardware? 2) XG Edit is an earlier, less feature intesive version of XG Works for the old MU* sound modules, etc.? 2) There are DX200 and AN200 specific plugins for XG Works that enable editing access to the device specific features. These do not work with XG Edit, only XG Works? 3) There are device specific, stand alone editors for the DX200 & AN200, i.e., the recently mentioned .an2 format, and if so -are these some kind of 'XG Works lite' derivitive? I know AN1xEdit wil work with both the PLG150AN and AN200 in PLG150AN Edit but, obviously, there is no accomodating the AN200 specific XG sounds or sequencers. So, for cross platform purposes we should probably ask AN200 users who wish to share their Voices to use .anp files created in AN1xEdit which we call ALL use. I've seen many reoccuring requests for the contents of the DX200/AN200 CDROMs on this list and would like to pin down what we can/can not legally share amonst list members before I make any further to acquire these materials for the Files section http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AN1x-list/files here at Yahoo! Groups. regards, Jon
