what can and can't? (MIDI OUT)

what can and can't? (MIDI OUT)

2002-10-28 by kollegekid12345

I've been using the an1x to drastically change the sounds from an emu
xtreme lead 1 (sound module). I can get some really wicked changes in
the sounds, however I can't get my sequencer (rm1x) to all record
these changes that I've made to the sounds. What I'm trying to do
probably isn't possible. But it would be awesome if it were.

Hi Dave,

Anything that you can send from the AN1x to your Xtreme Lead SHOULD be able to be copied by the sequencer. The AN1x uses standard MIDI note on/off, control change (CC), and aftertouch commands -- nothing unusual or fancy. Does your RM1x have a setting to filter out various MIDI messages? If so, maybe it's filtering some of the commands.

sup Bruce

Yeah, the rm1x has a MIDI filter and even when I allow every MIDI-in
message to be accpeted, only some is recorded (i.e. aftertouch). It
doesn't seem to record changes like VCO1 and VCO2 changes (i.e delay,
speed, etc). Here's my setup:

an1x MIDI out > rm1x MIDI in
rm1x MIDI out > an1x MIDI in
an1x MIDI thru > xtreme lead MIDI in

Any thoughts?
