Re: [AN1x] My FC7 pedal has Died, so Fc7 vs inline volume pedals for an1x

2006-08-30 by Peter Bye

Greetings:

One thing nice is that you can map just about any CC function to the F7,
not just volume so it has a lot more versatility than a "volume" pedal
-- expression pedal is more like it..

I have a pile of them and use them with DX7's, EX5, A5K, AN1X and even
patch them into FX700/900 Effects processors and MFC MIDI Stomp boxes.

Very usefull. As for other keyboards, etc, just buy another Yamaha.
Simple. I don't know how compatible the FC7 is with other manufacturers.

As a good safe alternative, get a FC9. I have one of those too. It is
a passive / Active pedel. It looks like an FC7 and can be an FC7 and an
active volume control, even both at the same time if you want.
Generally, it is a general purpose unit that should work with just about
anything you may want.

Just a thought;

Peter
