The Yamaha AN1x Synthesizer mailing list

hi all,
my FC 7 volume pedal has just died, and I'm needing another pedal.   
everyone tells me that I should just get an inline pedal as they tend  
to be sturdier.  I'm scared as I know that won't interact with the  
an1x's synth engine the way the fc7 does,  however, one thing is that  
if my an1x should ever die I could use the new pedal with any  
keyboard without an expression pedal input.  I do use some of the  
overdrive features of the an1x but most of my overdrive comes from  
the tube amp.  so would my an1x totally not act right if i were to  
use an inline volume pedal between the an1x and amp?

The fc7 is a nice pedal, but it never seemed all that smooth to me.   
what do y'all think?
