50g- How do you convert decimals into fractions?

There is one function that is very useful in your HP 50g, it is the XQ
function; in RPN after you get a result that comes in decimal form,
press X [ALPHA] Q [ENTER] the function look for a fraction form for
that number, a combination of a fraction and PI or a irrational form
like square_root(1/2). So go ahead a experiment with that function.

Very cool!

Note, you can get fractions that are _not quite_ the number you expect.

Still, this is an excellent function. We gotta get this calculator
back on the Professional Engineers Exam approved list!

I bet the ->Q and ->Q(pi) in menu 93.02 are still
available. Though I don't know if there's an easy way
to get to that menu without the "menu" command.

Hi Keith,

the following keystrokes provide another path to →Q and →Qπ:

↰ 6 @ CONVERT
F4 @ REWRI
NXT

On this menu, →NUM, →Q and →Qπ are on F4 through F6 respectively.

Chris.

PS: I'd set XQ to be on double-click ENTER with Keyman.
