Programming From a PC?

Programming From a PC?

2010-12-12 by macklinbob

I am the owner of 2 HP-48 calculators. The first is a HP-48SX from about 1993. It still works. Last year I purchased a new HP-48GII.

I am 76 years old an I am finding it difficult to program these from the keypad.

I know about uploading programs from the calculator to the PC for saving and restoring.

Is it possible to create the programs on a PC and download them to the calculator?

Sure Thing!

Win Hp does the trick...

edit programs and text and pretty much other things in the PC then download it to the Calculator...

I'm really happy about your age and interest in the calc

My primary hobby these days is flying freeflight model airplanes.

A friend of mine ( a Boeing engineer) developed equations for rubberband
motors. Several years ago I wrote a PC program to make it easy to calculate
the motor info. For the past couple of years I have been thinking about
doing it in a HP calculator.

Where do I find Win HP?

nice!
Boeing sounds really good...
There are two programs to write stuff on the PC to then upload it to the Hp Calc

WinHP
http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=3897

HPUserEdit
http://www.hpcalc.org/details.php?id=6600

Maybe the second one is the best... I can't remember... it's been a loong time since I did that trick (writing and editing a user rpl program on the PC to transfer later to the Calculator)

Cheers.

Thanks, I'll try them both. It's been 8 years since I have programmed a HP
calculator. I got started with a HP-25 in 1976!

I have a friend that still has one of them still working.
