I am a construction carpenter and I am trying to use the 50g to facillicte me on the job. My pet project at this time is reconstructing an ellipse. In particular a cyclinder that intersets a plane at a compound angle. the radius is typically at 9in. the cylinder 45 deg from horizontal and aprox. 45deg vertically. The information I am able to obtian is the vertical and Horizontal envelope. I know the radius. so putting in a value for Hoxisonatl max, Horizontal min, Vertical left, Vertical right , and radius. how could i make a progam that will give me the center, major axis points, minor axis points. once i have the coordinates of those I can plot it out. thanks.
