Hello Tony, let's say you have a resistor of 25 ohm and you apply 120 V in its terminals and you want to find the power P and intensity I.
Press [APPS] 12 [ENTER] or the OK soft key.
Press EQLIB from the soft menu.
Press EQNLI then the down-arrow key, to select Electricity and press [ENTER].
Press the down-arrow key, to select Ohm's Law and Power and press [ENTER].
You can use the up-arrow and down-arrow to look the formulasĀ for this section.
From the soft menu press SOLV, a soft menu with the variables V I R and P appears.
To enter the resistor value, press 25 and then the soft key R.
To enter the Voltage, press 120 and then the soft key V.
To solve for the variable P (Power) press [left-shift] and then the soft key P, the answer is P:576 W.
To solve for the variable I (Intensity) press [left-shift] and then the soft key I, the answer is I:4.8 A.
To try another set of values press the soft key ALL and enter the two knowns and solve for the two unknowns.
