Ok, a couple of more things I just thought of, and THEN
I give up. It's just something you should keep in mind
in checking the things you've already checked.
If you're in a subdirectory and, for instance, have 2.5
stored in R but this R resides in a parent (or
grandparent, etc.) directory. The calculator will find
and use that R in your expressions. So, you might want
to check the parent directories for R, g, & t
The other thing easily overlooked by a newbie is that,
while 4 is an integer, 4. is not.
Good luck

and then use the SIMPLIFY command? The only way I could
get the 'approx. mode on?' warning is to have 3.14... in
place of the pi. But this is in the hp49 (I don't have a
50g) so maybe there is a difference between the
calculators. I'll have to let someone else continue
helping you, as I'm at a loss at this point. Sorry.
approximate mode (It does simplify the expressions as
long as they don't have constants.) In this sense it
doesn't perform the example given in Chap.5 pages 5-2,
5-3 the way it is supposed to as one of the expressions
has number Pi.
guide???
