More than likely yoy have ZINTs instead of reals. If the numbers
don't have a '.' at the end, they are a symbolic object. Many of the
older programs later ported to the 49 never changed things to make it
work. Set you calc to approximate so you will get this

{ 1. -2. 3. } instead of {1 -2 3}
